I have a selection of 'i-one GX31' all-in-one pc's that we use at our school. These work really well as cloudready machines...EXCEPT for the in-built monitor. Only viewable on the external outputs (has hdmi, VGA and DVI). Uses an Intel GMA 3100 chipset.

Adam - thanks for the tip! If you have a large number of those and would be interested in using them on our paid product, contact cloudReady@neverware.com with more info and we can discuss fixing the problem to get them certified.

I can absolutely confirm that the D531 model is having Graphical Driver issues. The sad thing is that everything else is working perfectly. I've never seen a D531 move so fast...EVER! I really hope you guys will endeavor to try and work out a fix out for the Graphics because I have hundreds of these machines in my schools that we were going to surplus, until I found your solution.

    Theodore -

Our v46.1 release may fix this - keep an eye out in early March.

That is fantastic news. Thanks for the update! I look forward to testing it out.

I installed the new v46.1 on a Dell Latitude D531 today and unfortunately, the Graphics issue (triangles) still exists. I will continue to wait on further support info in future builds. Thanks for your continued efforts.

Installed on Medion Akoya Mini E1312 and appears to run OK but the screen flickers constantly (triangles) making it unusable unfortunately. The processor is AMD 1.5GHz Sempron 210U and the graphics are ATI Radeon X1250.

Acer N260G - NOT Working - Has an all in one type mainboard with both VGA and HDMI connections which i presume is confusing to Cloudready. I can ctrl+alt+f2 and f1, increase/decrease volume, ctrl_alt+z so presume it is working but does not map to screen so install can be completed (must think it's extended desktop or something?).

    Thompsonl -

Thanks for the headsup . If you don't care about preserving the functionality of that machine, or don't mind reinstalling Windows, you could try the cmd line install:

Thanks Forrest, i tried doing the cmd-line install but it doesn't install. Message - no such file or directory after i've run fdisk to establish the HDD (sda1)

    i.e. sudo chromeos-install --skip_src_removable --dst /dev/sda1

    initctl: unknown instance
cat: /sys/block/sda1/removable: no such file or directory
Error: Invalid destination device (must be whole device): /dev/sda1

You'd need to run with /dev/sda to choose the entire device, not just one partition (which is what adding the 1 specifies)

Get Primary and asecondary GPT Header is invalid Errors, then Error: gptsanity check() GPT_Error_Invalid_Headers

Thanks for all your help on this.

Usually a full Disk wipe resolves that error:

    " sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda "

    Hi guys,

Just wondering if there has been any progress in getting the Asus EeeBook X205TA working with CloudReady?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

We don't own the x205ta model , so I can't say. However, it's been a year and our hardware support has expanded significantly in that time - id recommend a live boot of v52 to test it out again

The Lenovo ideapad 100s Doesn't Completely work.
No Wifi, Unexpected Freezeing and Slowing Down, No Sound. The sound from the HDMI or the Line out port does not work with sound.

    Hi Joel,

We have an Ideapad internally and don't have trouble with the wifi .

Are you talking about this versions:
    http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/100-series/100s-14-inch/ ?

    I have a 11-inch Ideapad 100s.
Maybe the 11 inch model has a different built-in wifi adapter than the 14-inch model.

    I have a ASUS Transformer Book T200TA.
    No sound. (soc/intel/baytrail)
    Fixed wifi myself.
    Not tested bluetooth (no need).
    Everything else works, even touchscreen!

I would be pleased if sound was working.

    Hi Torbjörn

Have you toyed with alsamixer to see if there's anything in there to change?

    D Rojas (Edited )

On a Asus Book Flip TP200SA the only 2 things that i see don't work
are the touch screen and the track pad.
Everything else works great, fast and smooth using a Bluetooth mouse
very stable and videos play every well using hardware acceleration in full screen and in
    web pages.

    Hi Forrest,
Yes i have tried alsamixer with no success!

I think the modules needed is not compiled in the kernel.

    chronos@localhost / $ aplay -l
    aplay: device_list:268: no soundcards found...

    chronos@localhost / $ lsmod | grep snd
    snd_seq_midi 16384 0
    snd_seq_midi_event 16384 1 snd_seq_midi
    snd_rawmidi 24576 1 snd_seq_midi
    snd_seq 57344 2 snd_seq_midi_event,snd_seq_midi
    snd_seq_device 16384 3 snd_seq,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_midi
    snd_timer 28672 1 snd_seq

Asus eeePC 1000HD won't work; it is a Celeron M and so has the dreaded PAE issue.
