This is actually a security issue for 2-stage authentification, and those of us who use the Authenticator. Once logged on with only my password, all my data is accessible. Can this be addressed? 0 Permalink Jesse Pierce January 06, 2017 21:01 Hi Anton - I just logged in with an account setup for 2factor auth and was prompted at login for an authenticator code. You're saying you're able to bypass this with just a password and you're able to login? @SignedAdam - v54 includes the pinlogin feature now. Check this post for how to enable it: https://neverware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000426907-How-do-I-enable-pin-unlock- 0 Permalink Jesse Pierce January 06, 2017 21:02 also - glad to hear you're enjoying the software! 0 Permalink Forrest Smith January 06, 2017 21:05 It's important to note that there is no Authenticator-only login to any Google services - Authenticator only works as a way to have a 2nd factor when signing in - your password will always be required. 0 Permalink SignedAdam January 07, 2017 00:42 @Jesse Pierce - This Pin unlock feature, only shows up if you lock the device, it does not work after a shutdown then power on, the device still asks for the main account password, which does not solve my problem, I want to get rid of the main password all together, like @Forrest Smith says, 2ed factor after signing in... Gosh you had me going, I followed your instruction to the book, then d!ed because I saw nothing has change, anyway we can force it to only use pin login, even after a shutdown ? is neverware ever going to get smart lock working, I click smart lock enter my password, then click setup nothing happens, bluetooth works, so i dunno whats going on there... 0 Permalink Anton J Tryggvason January 14, 2017 20:52 Sorry, I have been without my "new" CloudReady-Book mine's an old white MacBook) for a while, so I haven't been able to play around an experiment much yet. But it seems to require the Authenticator when I first log on and setup a newly installed machine, but then not again - even if I shut it down. 0 Permalink Please sign in to leave a comment.
