Sadly so far there is no fixes. The latest update is using a new graphics stack which affects the touchpad somehow. No Idea how a graphics stack could affect something like a touchpad but assumeing it ties into hardware compatibility as well. Only advice is to stick with v56 until the devs are able to support & fix the issues with the touchpads.

If you do go back to v56 recommend reading this post on how to disable updates until touchpads are working again

    https://neverware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/225335468-Disable-and-Re-enable-automatic-updates

Sadly there is no other solution at the moment then going back to v56.

Edit: For the touchscreen no idea if that is related to the new graphics stack as well. So there is a chance that maybe the touchscreen can be fixed & recommend waiting for official dev support on the touchscreen but the touchpad sadly not at this time.

    @Courtney,

You realize CR is still New and Touch-Screens are  *Still New Tech to Many. The Whole Touch-Screen Phase is going to take a Long time to Add to Laptops or even Monitors for our Desktops as Touch-Screens right now cost $$$ for anything really. Yes, Touch-Screens are *Old Tech for our phones LoL

    @ Joseph

yeah I know cloudready is still new (only been around 2 starting to go into 3 years in all honesty) I have been using cloudready since v47

Then don't know much about touchscreens in all honesty, not even for phones or tablets. So figured since he said it worked in v56 maybe it was possible to fix & a possible way to get working again in v57 in all honesty but probably not/stopped working do to the new graphics stack truthfully.

Though can admit I do get way over my head sometimes though I just want to try & help people the best I can in all honesty. Even if it means having to learn something new or doing something I never did before. I mean I am not claiming to be an expert on computers I only took 1 year of computer science (was going for a bachelor's degree but dropped out due to financial issues) & 2 years of messing around with linux lol. So not much to go off of plus it's probably outdated info by now lol & a reason why I don't try helping out 24/7 like I used to lol.

Anyway starting to get off topic lol.

But yeah cloudready doesn't offer much support for touchscreens in all honesty. Probably won't until touchscreens become a lot more common on desktops like they are on smartphones & like you said it's still a new thing so will be awhile before it does. So yeah my bad for thinking it would be easily fixed lol.

@Even So yeah if it worked in v56 then just recommend going back to v56 for the time being & disable the updates.

Well what you could... do... is just Always let it sleep or close lid of a Laptop lol. That's what I'm doing cause 57's Touchpad config is just Switched from 56 so ha yeah

I have a similar set of issues after upgrading from v56, however v57 brought certain fixes too.

First, my touchscreen is no longer working (it worked just fine in 56). I noticed I can now properly extend my display, in 56 my cursor would get stuck in the external display and not return to the primary display unless I disconnected them.

Second my touchpad is sort of messed up, one-finger click (primary button) acts like two-finger click (secondary button) however I have dedicated buttons and I couldn't swap the primary button around in 56 but in 57 I can (with the help of a physical mouse though).

I can work around these issues, like not using the touchscreen or just using the dedicated buttons instead of clicking on the touchpad but I'm also running Windows 10 and I've formed a habit around these features so I catch myself poking at the screen then staring in surprise at the lack of response.

I hope these can be fixed soon and not have to wait for another major update

Touchscreens are a work in progress on CloudReady. That will just be a matter of waiting.

Your touchpad should be fixable, however. When you use use a USB mouse, do you swap left and right click? if so - that switch is also swapping your single and double finger taps. You will need to adjust this back and forth for the time being. We're continuing to look into improvements for trackpads.

My Touch screen on my Lenovo Yoga Y910 (or is it 920 ? )  Seems AOK I dont use it often. I would really like to be able to right click (use the actual right click button on the laptop rather than alt +click. I'm a newbie, sounds like in earlier versions this worked on many devices.I see from another response I may need to "roll back" my version. If anyone figures a right click "fix" (Most actual chrome books don't have a physical button on the laptop....this could be part of the reason) I imagine its the longterm windows users rather than Mac and Chromebook folks who will really want this. Haven't tried an external mouse (dont use them with my laptop. I LOVE CLOUDREADY!!!! much better than any similar Chromium I have tried to play around with. Amazing how well it runs off usb stick. Will set up to dual boot soon.
