    Best to is create a USB and test with the Live-OS it has. If things check out then install but be warned that CR upon clicking install will wipe the SSD thus not allowing to go back. Back-up your Data. Also CR doesn't have Playstore...

    Of course, they are supported; I recently updated the 4th generation with a fresh driver from the official Intel website. But I still want to buy myself a more powerful processor, such as the 12th generation. I read on digitalmasta.com; there are two suitable variants, Intel Core-K and Core-KF. The difference between Intel K and KF is mainly graphics processing support, iGPU. The Intel Core-KF iGPU components have a design flaw during manufacturing, so they are deactivated. Otherwise, the processors' specifications of both product lines are the same.
