I agree about the smoothness of Cloudready on the Dell 7537, but I have noticed the following issues:

    • AUX port does not work (I tried it with ear pieces)
    • Keyboard typing has MAJOR issue: when I type the cursor goes to a random place backwards; it's super annoying and it doesn't make it usable for text editing
    • Although the hard drive is very silent, it's kind of inconsistent in remaining silent: even doing nothing, it goes on and off at intervals of few seconds

Please let me know if anybody with this model is experiencing the same.

    Regards

I'm having issues with my touchpad not working properly on an Inspiron 15 7000 (7579). After about 10 minutes or so, the trackpad stops working completely. Rebooting doesn't fix the problem.

    Hi Jay,

    You might want to

    1) Compare to Ubuntu or another modern Linux distro to see if those have the same problem - if so, the bug may be in the Linux kernel and the machine may need attention from the maintainers upstream to be fixed

    2) Check out our preview of v75.1, which is unstable but has a newer kernel and may better for your device. https://go.neverware.com/previewrelease

    3) Check out the tweaks and options here https://neverware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000665207

Thanks for the response Forrest. I have used Ubuntu 18.04 LTS and 19.04 on this laptop without issues. I'll check out v75.1 and see if that helps.

    Forrest,

Just wanted to give you a heads up that v75.1 has fixed the touchpad issue so far.

Awesome! I hope it stays steady. We should up an updated v75.1 release coming over the air on the dev update channel very soon, so I'd encourage you to set yourself for that update channel and then let us know if you see any more issues.

    Cheers!
