I have already successfully tried and installed CloudReady on an old Lenovo for home use and I want to do the same thing for my parents on their ageing Windows 7 machine.
Here are the details:
HP Probook 4730s (I understand it is not a certified machine though...)
Windows 7 family Edition.
BIOS boot (not UEFI): I concluded I needed to do the traditional installation
USB boot: no problem in creating the disk with the recovery utility; no problem in booting up on USB
CloudReady version 45.3
BUT, after installation is complete and successful (without logging in but after entering the wifi network), I pull out the key, fire up and get the following message:
Boot device not found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk
Hard Disk 3F0
Here is what I have done sequentially without success:
- I use a USB 2.0 key, so I have tried to re-install from both a USB 2 and a USB 3 port
- Reset the BIOS to defaults
- manual install with the instruction from Jaymes Driver
Any idea ??
Thanks a lot for your help
