You would need to provide examples for me to hazard a guess. Which apps are we talking about?

These are Android apps (or in the case of ARC welder, apps that help Android apps run on ChromeOS). We currently don't support Android apps on CloudReady.

It would seem that the Chrome Web Store can query your browser for info about the OS, recognize that these are incompatible, and removes them from search results.

This may change in the next month, but for now I can't offer a solution at the moment.

I beg to differ, Scanner Radio is an official Chrome OS app. I have been in communication with the developer of the app and have downloaded it on my children's Chromebook. Arc Welder is also a Chrome OS app. Yes it is used to convert Android apps to use on Chrome OS.

Is this the scanner radio app you're talking about? if so - it is an official Chrome App, but only because it has been ported over to Chrome from Android (that's what the "available for Android" tag means on that page).

Android-ported apps, even official ones, require 64-bit builds that can run special NaCl functions to basically emulate the Android environment (the ARC in ARCWelder standard for "Android Runtime for Chrome" or something).

We're upgrading in the next month or so to add support for this. Just hang in there.
