It isn't clear to me how this could end up happening - if you access your machine's one-time boot menu during startup, can you select Windows ?

Yes I can but i dont get a menu

It sounds like either GRUB is being ignored on your machine, or was never properly installed.

You can reinstall CloudReady from USB and, if you choose "dualboot" again, it will only reinstall over the CloudReady portion, which should re-write GRUB to the computer.

If that doesn't clear it up, then it would seem your BIOS is not willing to defer to our methods, one way or another, and you'll be stuck using the one-time boot menu to switch.

It's not letting me do anything. Just stuck on the hp logo, think the hard drive died :(

what happened right before it started booting only to the HP logo?

  • Blake H

It started to not give me a menu to choose between windows 10 and CR and boot after boot it would take me longer to be able (many boots) to get into CR, and now I'm just stuck on the hp logo.

Which version of CloudReady did you start with?

  • Blake H

Not sure, downloaded it on the Neverware website about a week or so ago.

If you can't access BIOS, unfortunately, I can't help you. Sounds like a hardware issue more than anything else... Can you reinstall CloudReady using the one-time boot menu?

  • Blake H

Nothing appears, just gets stuck on hp boot logo. Can't even boot into a usb or bios.

    Is it basically bricked?

I am not totally sure, but it could be.

Do you have another HDD? There could be something blocking boot of any kind on the HDD. I'd recommend replacing it (Or USB booting with it removed as a start).
