My guess is that it would be slow but would work. If it has the Pentium 4 HT it should even support 64-bit, but I can't remember if the Celeron D was 32 or 64. I would just boot it from a USB stick and see how it does. 2GB is recommended, but 1GB should be enough to test if it works.

Not specific on that hardware but on an old fujitsu amilo laptop with 1gb ram. Worked fine, however a bit slow.

Will it work? Well try 32bit usb. Guess you have to find out.

ok for more info:  Intel pentium 4 3.00ghz 50 gb drive.

I'm running into this problem now.  I created the recovery usb drive without issue and as I start up and press f9, I get the usb option.  Selecting it fine. but it continues the normal startup.  Is this a sign it isnt going to work OR do I just need to configure something elsewhere to get it to see the USB drive (even though I am selecting it)?

ok rookie mistake on my part. I downloaded the 64 bit version.  Will try the process again with the 32bit version :)

ok so I had to go to the HP page and get the latest BIOS update. IT was my first time doing it on this computer and so I had to do 2 of them.  Once that was done it started up just fine with the usb stick.  It looks exactly like my andriod. :)

Im still running it from the stick and havent updated yet.  I'm a little hesitant.  Someone tell me what I can expect next if I press the install button...

Installing it will enable automatic updating, reduce your boot times, and give you persistent storage. It also frees up a USB port.

ok, you can add this one to the list of pcs that work.  However, you will want to note that I did have to update the bios before I could get it to start up with the usb stick.

I have just installed the newest version on 3 dc5100s.  They will take either the 32 or 64-bit versions.  The only problem is that the screen blanks out part of the page when on the internet. I thought it may be the version but it happens with both. I have a half height  ATI video card that I will try later.  I will let you know the results.

7/27/16  I tried with two different PCI video cards, it just booted to colored lines so I tried to reinstall cloud ready all it did was loop at trying to boot from USB. I then tried with a new unused HDD with the same result. Once I pulled the card it loaded fine. Must be a problem with the intel 915GV chip set.  Guess I'll wait for the next update to see if it's fixed.
