After installing, when you PC is shut down, you should remove the USB stick and then boot again.

If you are getting "No OS found" then you might:

    1) Need "Secure Boot" to be disabled in BIOS/UEFI setup settings

    2) Need to enable UEFI mode, disable Legacy mode, and reinstall

    3) Install with a different USB (especially if you are using a Sandisk)

Hi Thanks! I can't find secure boot.

option 2 enable UEFI I did but i can not disable legacy mode.

I use a different  usb key (datatravelar)

I get the message welcome to grub and then a black screen.

But still it doe not work. What can I do?

Hmm!Let's wait for admin to answer it. Your UEFI mode is completely different from mine.

    Hi,

The HP 6560b is a certified model. We have specific install instructions for that one that ought to help look it up and click for details at:

Same problem here on an Elitebook.

UEFI was disabled by default, USB works fine. Installation finished and won't boot from HDD.
Enabled UEFI, and got "Welcome to GRUB", then a blank screen. Tried reinstalling with UEFI enabled (even though USB would be legacy), got same thing over and over.

    Jeremy -

Please check out the install instructions for other similar Elitebooks to yours on our certified list - those might have special steps that match yours and would help. Often efi-file installs require specific steps.

    Thanks for the help.

Configured BIOS as described, and even started with a fresh de-partitioned (omg... over 20 partitions) HDD.
Installed from USB, getting same problem on HDD boot. GRUB message then blank screen.

BIOS is updated to latest version as well. She's a clean slate, but no luck.

    Jeremy,

Look up Elitebook models on the certified list, then click each model's detailed notes to see if there are any steps about install on any of them that are relevant to your device.

    Forrest,

Judging by the BIOS Images for the recent HP laptops they all mostly seem similar so if the Image I posted doesn't work then IDK

Got it... ended up having to point to the EFI file. All good. Thanks All.
