What do you mean? Have you done a Dual-Boot? What software have you tried creating the USB Installer?

I used the official Cloudready USB Maker: https://www.neverware.com/freedownload

From what I can see it downloads some files and then puts them on the USB drive. My question is, where does it store those files on my harddrive before it puts them on USB? It must be some temporary folder on C:\users\xxx or something.

Yeah I'm unsure as I don't use that. I use the Recovery Tool off Google Chrome

This tool puts images in a hidden file -application data. However, at most 1 image should be cached on your disk at a time, as the tool deletes older images when it restarts the process to make sure you have the latest.

You can use the Windows application-uninstall tool to remove all files, but otherwise rest assured that there should be a pretty firm cap on the space it's using up.

    Forrest,

What's the sizes of these files? Just curious

  • Forrest Smith

0.5-1.0 GB when zipped, 5-6 GB unzipped

All download files will be stored at C:/user/download

Thanks a lot. I found the location of the temporary files by using Win10's own space manager/clean-up tool and it is C:/user/download indeed.
