Has anyone successfully gotten Cloud Ready on this machine? This is an always connected (AT&T) Windows tablet with a dedicated keyboard. It came with Windows 8.0 which I progressively updated to Windows 10. Unfortunately, the Atom processor does not play nice with Windows 10 post the 1704 update. The tablet has 2gb of RAM and a 64 GB non-removable SSD. It has a 64 GB micro SD card (max the Atom processor can address). This seems like a perfect candidate for conversion to Chromium.
Problem: It doesn't appear to do USB boot. I can get into the extremely limited BIOS and there is a BIOS option on the Exit/Save page to boot from my PNY 16gb USB stick but when I select that nothing happens. I think the Linux format on the USB stick is not booting for some reason.
I am willing to risk bricking the tablet to attempt to get Cloud Ready loaded and I am relatively competent at PCs. I opened the tablet up to discover the SSD is non-removable. It is really just memory soldered to the motherboard. I loaded Cloud Ready onto the SD card thinking maybe I could convince the tablet to boot from that but no luck so far.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sorry to post twice but couldn't decide which section was most appropriate.
