I've tried Cloudready before on an old HP laptop with AMD/Radeon. It's worked fine in the past, I've downloaded the latest disk image and tried booting, it booted up once ok but froze after the desktop came up. Now it only goes so far and I get a blank screen.
I have tried downloading the disk image again, tried dd in Linux but I have the same problem.
I used my Chromebook with it's recovery tool and made a USB with that, still get the same problem. Boots but then I get a blank screen.
But the HP laptop HAS worked really well with Cloudready before.
Out of curiosity, I've booted the USB on my Chromebook - it used to work on that fine (Acer Chromebook 14 Edgar) but the current version fails to detect the trackpad and after plugging in an external mouse, it too goes to a blank screen after a while.
I'm at a loss, I'm very much used to using computers, Linux, booting USB etc. etc. but something seems to have changed.
