    Hi Shane,

What exactly does the weird fuzzy screen look like? Can you post a phone picture?

It's purple/blue fuzz screen. When I move mouse, it looks like there's a square moving underneath it. I've done the VRAM clearout that I read on here and tried all the other options noted in other posts. it looks like it "should" work but just isn't. I'll try and post a pic tonight.

It sounds like the GPU is not well supported. Older apple devices with Radeon graphics have historically been spotty for us when it comes to driver support, so this may be a dead end.

New update got a little closer, but still stuck on fuzzy screen or black screen. I did, however, start getting Chomium sounds underneath. Screen shots when on a machine that supports them

Did you ever get this working on your machine?  I have same machine and situation.   Also, not sure which to use, 64 or 32 bit?  But ya, other places say the graphic card is not supported.

    Hi Paul,

I used the 32 bit. I never did get this working on the screen. The neverware folks seemed to think it was a video card issue. debating trying to pick up a cheap Video card for it to see if that would work.

Shane - The Macbook Pro 2,2 (Late 2006 Core 2 Duo) doesn't have a separate graphics card. To get a new one, you'd have to swap out the entire Logic board (likely $80 since I last checked on eBay).  I see the same artifacts on my MBP today (OSX still) as that particular GPU is notorious for crapping out, so likely, this is due to what everyone says about that GPU not being supported.

Bummer - wanted to see this work out so I could do the same too!
