    Hi Elmar,

The Docs Offline functionality has a few behaviors that may need accommodation here:

    1) It doesn't work for 100% of all files, but should work for those that are sync'd to your local device. You can see which those are in the Files App like so:

    2) Syncing those files for offline access may take a substantial amount of time, so you might find that a few hours of letting the device run online after setting up offline mode will be necessary to populate that folder.

Well, that didn't do the trick.

How to check "Google Docs offline" App/Extension is installed properly?

How does the app launcher looks like?

You can check if the extension is present by visiting chrome://extensions and finding it and making sure it's set to enabled.

When you try to use documents offline, from where are you launching them?

My Files -> Google Drive -> Offline

Same Problem with Google Docs on USB-Drive. PDFs works as expected.

    Hi Elmar,

I'm not sure exactly what's expected, but I am seeing something of a similar issue.

When I go to the Offline section of FIles Apps with my wifi disconnected, I can open some, but not all, of the files shown there.

I'm unsure if that's because they are falsely listed or if there's something else wrong.

Can you compare to offline mode on a non CloudReady device?

    Hi Forrest,

a quick update - i signed in with a new google-account and started with only 2 offline documents in google drive.
    Works!

Maybe a malfuncton with another app?

I hope I can check this issue with a "real" Chromebook the next days.
