Steam Linux app keeps getting terminated

    did you install the steam app inside the Linux/Crostini terminal or via flatpak?

    If other Linux terminal apps work, and Steam does not, then I suspect the issue is with the compatibility of that Crostini container to support Steam. Steam's a pretty complex app that needs a lot of permissions and special functionality to be able to start/manage other applications, so maybe running inside the container is problematic.

     

    Do other Linux apps run as expected?

    I don't know. Didn't try. Can you replicate the bug?

    Since the Linux container is an environment built and maintained by Google, we don't test or fix bugs with it unless they are a problem in CloudReady and not on Chromebooks. I haven't tested Steam in the Linux container so I can't tell you whether the issue happens for me.
