Nothing purposeful - the Linux kernel does constantly improve though.

    Wow...DOUBLE Wow!!!!!!!!

    Here's whats happening.......

I have Manjaro Linux installed in a dual boot situation with cloudready so I.....

Have isight firmware installed on Manjaro Linux & it works there.

So I boot into Manjaro where apparently the camera is initialized there....THEN I....

reboot without shutting down into cloudready & the isight camera must RETAIN its initialization enough for it to

WORK in cloudready....if I startup from off into cloudready it doesn't work.....

    CAN YOU IMAGINE!!!???

    That's actually really interesting.

I can't imagine there's much to be done for us in the product overall based on this finding, but I'm happy to hear you have a webcam workaround for this device.

Is there a system folder to put the isight.fw file which I have extracted from my osx software where it will be recognized & loaded? All I do for Manjaro is put it into /usr/lib/firmware & it will load it after restarting?

I'm sure there's some equivalent to /usr/lib/firmware on CloudReady's directory structure, but I can't say I know where/which. You'd have to experiment to find it.
