Looking at options as my Acer C720 support from Google is winding down this year. Came across info about CloudReady. I had already flashed my bios with john lewis firmware. I mostly have been running Linux from an external usb stick, but thought it would be nice to have a ChromeOS system on the internal drive. I expected CloudReady would work without issue as it should with this being a Chromebook, but was pleased with how easy it was to install CloudReady and it feels just like ChromeOS on the Acer. Also was pleased to see the Linux beta option. I installed Gimp which went well, and LibreOffice which installed nicely. I do have an 'artifact' on my panel after I close LibreOffice Writer, but it's nothing serious, just impressed it works at all on this device.
Thanks for what you have done! Many Chromebooks running out of support in June. I expect you will be seeing more people like me here.
