Are you using v70 of the Home Edition? And are you on 64bit?

I'm on 72.2.26 of the Home Edition on the Dev channel, on 64-bit.

Sorry, found out I had disabled virtualization in my BIOS settings, thanks for the help!

    Happy you're squared away. Enjoy!

Now that I've got it installed, however, the Terminal won't launch, and when I try to uninstall it, it tells me "Error uninstalling Linux. Try again." Is there something else I should be doing?

Less sure on this front - my best advice is to go the scorched-earth route and reinstall CloudReady with virtualization enabled, then enable and install Linux, and then see if it behaves better.

The Terminal just loads for about 30 seconds now, and then crashes, even though I installed Cloudready with virtualization enabled already. I can uninstall it properly now with all the chrome flags enabled, it just won't launch.

    Hi Brian,

Try resetting the flags to defaults? I think they might not be necessary, and depending on the flag, could cause issues.

It's also possible there's a bug with your particular device not supporting this right now.

Finally - if you initiate the Crostini install and see a very long wait, that could be a bug we've seen. It just takes a long time.

Another thing to try might be reinstalling v70.4, installing Crostini on that version, and then updating after.

Hi, I tried reinstalling Cloudready, and it still doesn't seem to work. On stable 70.4, it tells me that it could not "mount Linux files". On the dev channel, I get the same freeze and restart issue, even when left for long periods of time. It doesn't even require me to hit the power button to restart when it freezes, it just does that automatically, and when I try opening the Terminal app, it does the same loading animation and force closing that I saw before. Is there anything else I can do?

Nothing else I can think of Brian, except to wait and hope updates improve things. What kind of hardware are you using? It may simply be unsupported.

I am aware the HP Pavilion 15 isn't officially supported, but I am a little disappointed that every other function that works so well on this installation, except for Crostini.
