I wanted to inform you that I've successfully installed Acer E15 E5 576 - 56XA. It is a new machine with 4GB Ram i5 8th generation purchased in Korea. I've never used a real Chrome book, so I really am not sure how a Chromebook is supposed function, but it is working like a beauty and it has become my main PC. I use quite a lot of CAT tools (translation tools) but it is handling all of them except one movie translation tool which cannot render Korean characters, all appearing as X's in a box. But I know they are getting inputted correctly because when I copy and paste the characters elsewhere, the characters are correct. It is a website which uses flash and I would consdier the company a tech laggard. Other than that it works flawlessly. At first it gave me some problem with switching between languages, but it works great now.
If you want to make the alt key your language switch key for Korean, this one worked like a charm.
I still have two tradtional offline CAT tools which will not work on Chrome, but I thought it is worth that I use my Windows as a personal server by using chrome remote desktop. And this new Cloudready self-made Acer Chrome laptop will be the main laptop beginning today. So I am very happy and wanted to thank Cloudready.
