    HI A9013 -

We are not seeing video lag, in general, on v72, so you'll need to provide as much detail as possible about your hardware in order for us to investigate or comment on your issue.

    Hi -

Thanks for the detailed hardware info. We have a Dell Optiplex 745 with GMA 3000 graphics and it doesn't show any slow down or stuttering.

    Can you try again butL

    1) ensure you're on 64bit CloudReady

    2) ensure plugins/codecs are installed

    3) log in as a guest (so there are no meddling extensions)

    and try again?

I reinstalled v72.3 64bit, media plugins and still the same problem. I logged in as guest and the problem is still there.

Then I installed v70.4 64bit and no more video lagging problem.

Are you sure there's no other GPU in your device?

  • A9013

I'm sure, the GPU is integrated in the motherboard.

    Hi Again,

Thanks for the confirmation. We're still not able to reproduce this unfortunately. It may be specific to a different components in your M55 (CPU, sound card, etc). If you're using any other periphals (USB wifi dongles, etc) that might be useful information too.

Otherwise, you may need to test each new revision/update as we ship them in the future in the hopes that whatever this hard-to-pinpoint bug is, it gets fixed on accident later.

  • A9013

Did you test it by playing videos in fullscreen? The video lagging becomes very apparent in fullscreen.

The Intel 3000 isn't powerful enough to go full screen sadly (Read)

Everything was working fine in v70.4 and all the other versions before it. Then I installed v72.3 and it caused this video lagging problem.

Hello, I have the same issue, When I play videos with the nativ video player or other player, it's lagging, I try with SD avi files or mkv HD, it's the same.

My computer is an Asus EeeBook E402SA  https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1i0-9zvqdf8WZ3rhCNAo524aTYKo2XDjRooHKusj8kf4/preview?slide=id.ga9588ab56_131

    amélie,

Do any videos play smoothly? Things like youtube or other hosted formats?

Can you confirm that you've installed media codecs in the settings menu?

  • amélie boutonnet

    Hello,

Videos on youtube are smoothy too but less than local videos.

Yes, I confirm that I have the media codes installed and up to date in the settings menu

I have also updated Cloud Ready to version 72.4.61

  • Joe

    What's your Laptop Brand/Model

  • Forrest Smith

    Hi Amelie.

We'll take a look at this again - if we can reproduce the issue on that device ourselves we should be able to prioritize a fix , at least for sometime in v74.

Can you compare to the performance on the same device while in guest mode?

  • Forrest Smith

    Hi,

We've run through youtube video playback our copy of this device on v63 all the way through v73.1 . No indications of video playback lag or slow down form any of our testing.

This leads us to a dead end - it doesn't seem like all machines with this name have the problem you're describing. Note that your device might have less RAM than ours (we have 4 GB RAM) or different BIOS settings (you can reset to defaults to test that).

Can you update to v73.1 and check if there's any difference there?
