Can you check if there's a physical toggle or keyboard shortcut for CloudReady on that machine?

  • Joe

By searching its Fn-F12 key from the keyboard

The led on the F12 button stays orange (it's normally blue when the WiFi is connected). The only way I can toggle the Wifi now is via the network menu.

Is it possible the last update caused this or do you feel it's a hardware issue?

  • Forrest Smith

it could be an update issue - can you press alt+shift+i and sendus logs referencing this issue and URL so we can look at the hardware info?

  • Joe

Maybe but seems they don't have the function Layout corrected on your Model. You could try several other keys that are close to the F12 Key

Ok, I was able to send the logs by temporarily connecting to ethernet. (shafferjo****@gmail is the email used)

Also, here's a screenshot of the version if needed

    Thanks for the added info.

Your wifi appears to be Ralink RT5390 wifi which I don't know much about, but it shows up on the device.

The hardware dump in the logs says it is "disabled" which lines up with what you're seeing. I would guess that if you can find a way to trigger the BIOS or keyboard shortcut to re-enable it, it'll come back and work.

You could try updating your version first - v72.4.35 is not the latest available

So I went in to the Bios, loaded the defaults, restarted and the led/WiFi is back on. Ecstatic this it's now working but still perplexed as to what happened. :/
