    Is there a reason the native file sharing folder in the Files App doesn't work for your needs?

     

    I believe that, for security, the OS is able to read and write to the container's home dir, but from inside the container you cannot directly affect the OS. hopefully it's clear that, since the container can run arbitrary code that Chrome OS normally would not allow, it is important to limit the privileges that arbitrary code might have to access the OS outside the container/VM.

    Though I can't coach you through it, maybe a workaround for creating a shared folder that both environments can read/write to is is to use the native Network file share feature?

    Ok i'll try this no matter for the moment to share manually from download to Linux

    You might find that, in v73.1 on our dev channel now, you can share additional folders more freely. See this new setting under the Linux menu:
