CloudReady doesn't support dual boot since version 6X, so, that's why you don't see the boot selection menu.

So what is best to do? Im stuck with Cloud Ready. I was thinking of installing WIndows then VMWare to CloudReady. Or maybe Linux. How can I boot to my USB?

If your device won't recognize the option-key during startup then the issue is not related to CloudReady - at that point during the boot process CloudReady is not involved at all, only Apple's firmware.

I would guess that the issue is one of the following:

    * Your device can't recognize the option key coming from your particular keyboard. Try using a different keyboard, or connecting via a different usb port

    * Your device no longer has the ability to reach the option boot menu at all. This is possible if the logicboard has issues. If that's the case, you may need to seek help from an Apple store or computer repair store that can provide you with an alternative device to reimage your disk.

    * You may need to run a PRAM or SMC reset on your device. On a device as old as yours, this can be slightly risky (we have soon iMacs from 2006 cease to boot after a PRAM reset) so again here I would advise you to proceed with caution, or to seek help from a professional.
