    Some, but not necessarily all, screen rotation is.supported, but it's only supported after "tablet mode" is triggered. Tablet mode needs to be triggered by a device specific rule, like "when keyboard is detached" or similar. On the surface go we have on our office the tablet mode trigger doesn't work, but if you force it then screen rotation does work.

    The way to force tablet mode is to
    1) Go to chrome://flags in your browser url bar
    2) find the "debugging" keyboard shortcuts flag and enable it
    3) once that's on and you've done the prompted restart, pressing ctrl+alt+shift+t (on the physical or on-screen keyboard) should trigger tablet mode on or off.

    At that point, if your device's accelerometer is recognized and supported, screen rotation should work.
    There's no way I know of to avoid needing to use the keyboard shortcut, but hopefully this gets you close enough
