I am confused by your description - have you installed 64bit CloudReady on the X2 6400+ CPU yet? Or not yet?

Using 64bit is definitely strongly recommended - we are retiring 32bit at the end of the summer.

The CPU is Def. 64-Bit so why not just install the 64-Bit version?

not yet, I'm waiting to get the processor and the new SSD from the mail. my current processor 32bit and the same family of this new 64bit, athlon 64x2 released in 2005, the only difference is architecture and processing speed. my motherboard is old there so I do not have to change everything I found it better to put one top-of-the-line processor of the season that my Am2 socket supports

Sir I've searched and no where can I find a 32-bit for that cpu.. What happens when you try the 64-bit of CR on that computer

so I counted here my experience with 32bits. this week will arrive on the internet the 64 bits I bought and I will try to install the cr and see how it looks, I'm just afraid that the same thing happens and I'm throwing my money away instead of buying a more modern machine

There's nothing wrong with trying CR on a Desktop Branded or a Custom build computer. Just some hardware may not be compatible *hence probably the Wi-Fi Adapter.

What OS did you have before? If xp then most likely it was 32-bit but just because you have a 32-bit OS doesn't mean your computer is not 64-bit compatible. Even in the BIOS some motherboard won't even say if the cpu is 32-bit or 64-bit so it's important to at least try. No harm will be done to your pc. Just a message about your CPU isn't compatible which in turn is only 32-bit

yes, that my processor athlon64 X2 3800+ it and only 32bits. I'm hoping to get the athlon 64 x2 6400+ 64bits naked I do the cr test

I think you might be mistaken on 32bits. The data says that it is 64bits. I would think that CR might do well before tinkering with the processer.

    Architecture / Microarchitecture
    Microarchitecture K8
    Processor core Windsor
    Core stepping F2
Manufacturing process 0.09 micron silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology
    164 million transistors
    Data width 64 bit

I think he's just mis-wording. I know there wasn't any Athlon64 cpu with only 32-bit architecture but the Socket - A which is Single Core CPUs and that or those are totally different CPUs and Motherboards
