    If you want to customize the look/behavior, you can use the options page.
    Load it by using the Ctrl+Shift+P keyboard shortcut.

    Every time the shell starts it prints this message....... what are you missing?

    Tony, I forgot how to save my preferences and make it stick.  c-s-P, I see the preferences setting page.  I do not know how to save it so it will automatically appear in all my cat terniinal windows.  I never had to reload preferences or anything before...

    are you talkin about a developer shell? Or a crosh shell? What is a cat terminal window?

    You mean ctrl-alt-t

    the Ctrl shift p settings are automatically saved immediately.
