    Hi,

What errors are you seeing when they fail?

I believe v80.3 (coming in the next few weeks) will have a fix for at least one tricky issue with Netflix, but I'm not 100% sure that's the same thing you're currently seeing.

    It states C-7121-1331 error code.

Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.

I did this and no luck....

    Netflix Error C7121-1331

Which of the following did you do?

If you experience the error code C7121-1331 on your Google Chromebook or Chromebox, it typically points to information stored on your device that needs to be refreshed. Follow the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

    1. Connect your computer to the internet using Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Updates cannot be installed while connected via a cellular network.

    2. Click on the status area (in the lower right corner, where your account picture appears).

    3. Select Settings.

    4. Select About Chrome OS from the menu on the left side of the page.

    5. Select Check for and apply updates.

    6. Your computer will install any necessary updates. Once the updates are installed, select Restart to update.

    7. After your computer has restarted, try Netflix again.

    1. Sign in to your Chromebook with the owner account.

    2. Click on the status area (in the lower right corner, where your account picture appears).

    3. Select Settings.

    4. Select About Chrome OS.

    5. Select More info....

    6. Select Change channel.

    7. Select Stable

    8. Try Netflix again.

    1. Click on the status area (in the lower right corner, where your account picture appears).

    2. Select Settings.

    3. Select About Chrome OS at the top of the page to view your version.

      • If your version is 68.0.3440.117 or lower, you will need to contact your device manufacturer for assistance updating your Chrome version to 68.0.3440.118 or higher. If you're unable to update Chrome you'll need to use a different Netflix-enabled device to continue streaming.

      • If your version is 68.0.3440.118 or higher and you are still seeing this error, please contact customer service to help us investigate.

    Thanks for the reply.

Version is way above 68, I run stable channel and I am fully updated.

All flash and codecs updated too.

    Confused.

this does indeed sound like the issue we've seen previously (and have a fix for in our next release, coming in the next few weeks).

For now, you can try the following to work around this:

    1) After you see the error, leave that error'd window open and then open another browser window to visit netflix and try the same video again. Sometimes this resolves the problem

    2) Try installing an extension to manage your "User Agent String" and set it explicitly to target Edge browser or Chrome on Linux.

    3) If you're using any extensions or apps or peripherals that interact with your view/display, disable/remove them. Some examples include:

    • Screen recorders
    • External displays
    • Video splitters
    • Tablet mode vs laptop mode state of your machine
    • Magnifying extensions/display zoom changes
    • USB-adaptors for video ("displaylink")

Hope one of those tips helps. If not, please be patient and check again on v80.3 in the coming weeks.

Forrest, thanks.  I will wait for 80.3.

UPDATE: Twitter works after reinstalling Flash.  NO Netflix still (unfortunately).  HBOGo is also working now!  So, Netflix is only issue.

    So close.

I had the same problem, and I solved it with this:

    • chrome://os-settings
    • media plugins
    • install "proprietary media plugins"
    • restart the chromebook
    • use netflix
