Is it possible to disable the 'Install OS' option

    Tipex over the screen where the install option appears? sorry :-) must be a way to delete the installation app / files from USB somehow .. .. .

    To protect yourself, I would back up your Windows drive to an external drive regularly (perhaps at the end of each session). which would save your current data. I also would have a stick with Windows install on it to keep "last resort" at bay.

    https://neverware.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360039181993-How-to-install-from-CR-USB-to-other-USB - I think that thread describes doing a cmd line install to force an install from a USB to another USB, which you could then boot from the 2nd USB and not see  the install button.

     

    Your mileage may vary - this isn't a supported workflow or something we test, but it seems like someone got it to work
