(Acer Aspire 8390G) Chrome OS Flex work fine from USB, but don't boot after install on HDD
As the title said. All work perfectly fine with this pretty old machine, when booting from the USB. I'm really impressed by how smooth all work including browsing and wifi, etc. Unfortunatly booting from internal HDD after install fail with the Crome OS logo on the white scren, stay stuck here forever. I updated last bios for this machine (1.25) and can't change UEFI or Legacy mode. I guess that's the problem.. Shame it's just a boot problem :(

Laurent Salmeron, did you change the boot sequence to USB first?

Laurent, same thing happened on one of my devices. Chrome OS Flex boots and works fine from USB. After installing to the internal drive though, my laptop doesn't get past the Chrome logo and goes on a reboot loop. Plenty of others have had similar issues (a lot of reports on reddit). Reminder that it is clearly labelled as an unstable Dev release. Nothing much to do now really but to be patient and wait for the next release and test again then.

Laurent Salmeron, I suggest you try loading the current stable CloudReady. That way your device will work. When Chrome OS Flex is stable, it will update to that on your device. Here is the Neverware site.

Thanks guys for your answers.
As I said the OS work pretty fine booting from the USB, and after installation on HDD, fail to boot without any crash, or loop. it just stay on Chrome OS logo on its white page.
So as suggested, I will try to install current stable CloudReady and see if it boot from HDD.
Thanks again! :)
Edit: Just came back to thanks you (again) as I installed CloudReady and it boot fine from HDD and work perfectly fine on my laptop! My very old laptop (2008 AFAIK) is young again! :)
